Rain is one of the Characters I write for. She is 17, and a Vampire Werewolf hybrid. She smells faintly of blood, a forest after it rains, and strawberries. Rain's strengths are, moonlight, darkness. She is extremely fast, and very strong at her height of 5'9. Her weaknesses are the memory loss of her past, getting close to people, blood and silver.
Rain will and can fight with any type of weapon, she has a large scythe with a blade made of diamond. She also has a sword, with a ruby inset into the hilt and a large hole running down the middle, which makes it appear to be two blades when it is really just one.
This is an excerpt from the story. Weapons Training at a Weapons Boarding School.

Chapter One: The Morning Breakfast___________________
Dimitri had been up for hours looking over his lesson plan. He was ready to get his day started, walking out of his room he adjusted his leather cloak strap. His golden eyes seemed to be void of any emotion at the moment, as he walked down the hall toward the cafeteria. However, before walking into the cafeteria, a wave of kindness washed over his once emotionless face. Strolling into the room, he quickly grabbed some breakfast and sat down at the teachers table to eat.

Diente literally rolled out of bed as he woke up, he cringed as the crisp, cold air touched his bare skin. His eyes were crusted with sleep. He rubbed them vigorously in an attempt to see. Stumbling over to the water basin, he quickly splashed cold water onto his face before turning to change into his normal back pants, white button down shirt, black leather jacket, and boots. He walked out of his room yawning and heading towards the cafeteria. Once there, and shuffling through the line, he one handedly grabbed a few small rolls for breakfast. (which would have been a normal breakfast for anyone else) Diente, normally a popular person, decided to sit down by himself. He was not a morning person until he had food in in body.

Rain's eyes fluttered open as she pulled the covers over her head in the cold room. After a few moments of breathing her stale breath, she pulled back the warm cover. Gasping for fresh air, she stared up at the ceiling. She was blushing slightly as she slid out of bed, without disturbing the cat. Getting ready for her morning classes, her mind started to wander back to her dreams, which brought back a deep blush. Oh my God, what has gotten into me? She wondered to herself, as she put on her black pants, and tight dark blue tunic. She slipped on her boots, not bothering to tie them. She walked out of her room and down the hall to the cafeteria. Rain grabbed a small roll and looked for a place to sit. Passing by her Instructor, Rain nodded. "Yes Sir," she said with a crackled voice, as she acknowledged their training session later that morning. She looked around again for a place to sit. She thought, after yesterdays incident, she did not feel like sitting next to any of the guys that were at the Hot Springs. Sighing, she walked over to an empty part of the table and sat down. Blankly staring at her breakfast roll, she sat there for a few moments before she started to eat.

Rain noticed her friend, whom she cared for very much, leave the room quickly. Biting her lower lip, she stared down at her plate once more and sighed. Not wanting to be alone at that moment. She stood up, taking her plate, over to the table where Diente was. Rain sat down next to him, "Hello." she mumbled quietly.
Diente looked up from his food, he acknowledged that Rain had just taken a seat next to him. That moment, his silver eyes flickered across the room to his brother Dimitri, who was staring at Rain. That's odd he thought, as he turned to Rain and said, "Something the maa..." Then suddenly he said, "Hey,wait!" "What were you and Namen doing yesterday in the hot springs"? He changed the question, while tilting his head to the side.
Rain groaned loudly, and said softly while burring her face deeper in her arms, "Please don't remind me."
Diente shrugged, as he looked at the new person walking into the room, whom he realized he had never met before. "Hey you!" He shouted, "You wanna come sit with us?" he motioned to him while lifting his right arm.

Dimitri watched his brother Diente talk to Rain, and motion to the new student. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small pocket watch, looked at the time and thought to himself, Hmm... I'll give them a bit more time.

Rain looked up from her arms at a friend, who was coming towards their table. Rain had a sad look on her face, but that quickly went away as she spoke. "Hey." She greeted with a small smile.
Diente looked over at them and made the peace sign with his right hand,"Yo". Laughing he said, "I was trying to get Rain here, to tell me what they were doing in the hot springs, but she doesn't---". Diente stopped in mid sentence, as he was interrupted by Rain lifting his now empty plate, in an attempt to silence him with it. "Hey!" "Hey now, I was kidding!" He apologied playfully while lifting his hands above his head, as if asking for mercy. Rain glared at him, and set the plate down. She rested her head on the table once more, while putting one arm over her face and sighed.

Diente looked over at the new guy with a grin on his face. "My name is Diente Medluck and this here, is Rain... I actually don't know her last name. Anyway, what's your name?" he asked after turning his attention towards the new guy. Rain looked up from her arms and glared at Diente, as she looked at the new guy with a small, soft smile. "Hello, it's nice to meet you, my name is Rain Septim," she said in her quite musical voice.
Suddenly,Rain blinked with a confused look, as he friend started yelling his apologies towards Rain from across the table. Surprised and looking over at him, Rain felt a pang of pity for him. "Aw, It's fine, Really it is!." I should have stopped before freaking you guys out last night." She said with a smile, while scratching the back of her head. Seeing that he started to cry, she leaned over towards him and gave him a gentle hug, though her expression appeared colder than a normal person.
Mean while,Rain thought sitting at this table was a mistake as so much was going on. Diente was talking to everyone! What the heck? She saw him extended his hand out and shook Vel's hand as he walked past, then he leaned back in his chair, shrugged, and said thoughtfully to the new student, "Well... Yes this place is different from any normal school."
Rain pulled her chair away from Diente in an attempt to find a quieter spot, she nodded towards he friend, who seemed to be getting over his strange behavior. Looking at no one,she simply laid her head down on the table and closed her eyes.

Dimitri seemed to be keeping track of all the students in the room, looking over at his friend who had just approached him. With a smile on his face he spoke, "Once you eat, we can go, since you are the first one of my students to approach me." His golden eyes flickered over to a student, who was standing in the doorway glaring at him. Arching an eyebrow and smirking, he shook his head in amusement as he finished his breakfast.

Suddenly, Diente looked at yet another friend who had just walked up, "Yeah sure, say hi to everyone but me why don't you?" He spoke sarcastically while rolling his eyes and leaning back in his chair.
My My, he's quite the popular one Rain thought, as she peeked out from under her arms. She also noticed that her Instructor was still eating, she mumbled quietly,"Good,I have plenty of time before I have to change for my training lesson."

Diente shivered, as he saw this friend offer him a morning kiss from across the room. "No thanks..." he mumbled quietly, as he was suddenly afraid of him. For some odd reason he was suddenly reminded of the other guy that tried this same maneuver . Twitching and then shaking his head, he closed his eyes and grimaced. Rain laughed as she watched Diente squirm. Diente quickly tried to change the subject with a glare towards Rain, looking up at his friend, he over heard him talk about being assigned to Dimitri. "Oh,thats the teacher is over there," Diente pointed in the direction of his brother. "He looks kinda like me but with golden eyes, a little bit shorter, and has longer hair." He said with a thoughtful nod, as he stood up. "I should go with you since he is my instructor too." He said while sighing and heading towards his brother, who was sitting at the table.

Dimitri looked up from his food, smiling at his brother and the student as they approached him, "How can I help you two today?" He asked while folding his hands under his chin and looking up at them.
"We are supposed to train with you Mr. Medluck." Diente said with a sigh of formalities. He thought he would much rather call him Dimitri, or brother, but that would be rude since he was just a student.
Dimitri Nodded, "Yes Mr. Medluck that is fine... If you could wait until Mr. Smith over there, is finished eating, then we could get started," he spoke clearly as he looked over his new student.

The stirring about of all the students prompted Rain to lift her head from the table, she looked around noticing that her Instructor was no longer present in the cafeteria. She got up quickly, walked to her room to change into her training clothes. Her mind was in a total blur at that moment, as she grabbed her wooden training scythe. Heading to the training area three, she spotted her Instructor and walked towards him.

Dimitri saw Rain abruptly leave the cafeteria. Realizing the time, he stood up and walked out. Walking down the hall, he went to his room grabbing his staff and daggers he headed towards training area one. He waited next to the door for which ever student happened to appear first.

Chapter Two: Training______________________________

Rain quickly got in her stance, feeling the grain of her weapon in her hand, she shivered under her Instructor's empty gaze. She jumped back as he came at her. She quickly spun her scythe in a counter-clock wise motion blocking his attack as she stepped away from him. Not good she thought, I have a wooden weapon and he has a real one...Rain stumbled as she backed away from him. Her big blue eyes were focused on him and his scythe as she held her wooden scythe in a defensive position. Standing perfectly still, her face soon lost it's shocked expression and became blank. Rain continued to stare at him. Show no weakness, show no fear, she thought in an effort to calm herself.

At his sudden movement, Rain's eyes opened wide in fear, allowing him to see right thorough her every expression. Obviously she needs to work on her emotional mask, which in this case was hindering her fight. He sensed her every move.
Seeing that he raised his scythe for another attack, she quickly lunged to the left as her wooden training scythe clashed with his weapon. She felt a stinging pain in her wrists and heard an unusual sound as she allowed herself to do a somersault. Rolling out from the somersault, she shot up and spun around to face him. Looking at her hands, she whispered to herself, "Great, all I have left is half of a stick for a weapon." Franticly, she thought, I need to disarm him... or get a new weapon. Looking around, she made herself light on her feet, moving around quickly, making it harder for him to discover which direction she would go.

Rain became still, as another student jumped in front of her. It was her friend, the one she had feelings for. He yelled at her and told her what to do, as he swung his weapon in the direction of the instructor. Raising her slender eyebrow, she simply nodded and hurried off to her room. Once there, she grabbed her real scythe, holding the long, blue metal that supported the blue tinted diamond blade. She couldn't help but admire it. Shaking her head as she passed by the schools Headmaster, she quickly made her way back to the training area. Oblivious to the fact that the Headmaster spotted her scythe, she quickly acknowledged him respectively and continued on her way.
The Headmaster's golden eyes widened for a moment, and then narrowed. He whispered to himself, "So.. it is true then, that scythe proves it." His eyes followed Rain down the hall as he mumbled bitterly to himself, "Willow... that's your scythe, in your daughters hands, is it not?" He stood there and became completely lost in his thought as she faded out of his site.

Rain threw open the doors and entered the training room. Nodding with a smile, towards her friend. She took her stance away from him thankful he stepped in to help her. She held her scythe nervously in her hand, she felt she was shaking. She closed her big eyes and took in a deep, cold breath. She felt the pounding in her chest slow, and her body stopped shaking. Letting out the warm breath, she opened her eyes as they locked onto her Instructor. She held her scythe back behind her, slightly above her head. Holding it with one hand,as she balanced herself with her other hand stretched out. This position did not look easy, since the scythe was heavy. Her left hand was up slightly in front of her, as her face gained a determined look.
Rain quickly followed behind her friend and jumped up over him. Falling quickly towards the Instructor, she swung her scythe towards his chest, she had the same precision and speed she remembered from the other day during her exercise. There was a whistling noise as her blade traveled through the air.

Why,Thank you. Well actually it is, it's really just an elaboration of how I write, to show to my cousin. She lives in L.A, and I may go there this summer. She knows some screenwriters and has told me to come stay with her, and check out some of the seminars on writing.
